Local hard of hearing and deaf support club in Twickenham, West London
What We Do
Our meetings are informal. We usually start with a chat while the activity for the evening is being prepared. Activities include lessons in lip-reading which is a very useful skill to learn, or talks by visiting guests, or playing various games , some of which help with practising our communication skills. The evening then concludes with light refreshments. Occasionally we visit places of interest, usually by minibus, or go to a nearby theatre to enjoy a captioned performance of a play. Members are encouraged to contribute their own ideas for the programme of events.
